Ruroini Kenshin

Ruroini Kenshin

So, although this really isnt modern anime, it came out, what, about 10 or more years ago, this is really the best ever anime ever to grace our screens (in a serialised version, let me point out, Im not saying that it even approches some of the genius of Miyazaki, thats a like comparing chalk and cheese).

Kenshin- originally a hardend killer, seemingly able to forget his past, and armed with a katana that is sharpened on the wrong side- basically so that he can defend himself, but not kill unless he really really means it, goes through a number of adventures with kaoru and a couple of other characters, one with a penchant for getting into fights and the other with a definite taste for being cheeky- in real time Japan.

A lot of the scenarios are played out in events that happened in japanese history. Its not just a fun ride with excessive violence and sword fights, but its a decent history of a country in its own right.

The whole thing is based around morals of good/bad, and, damn, they just dont make em like that anymore. Kenshin Rocks.

We have refined the template for the red diesel page. Now it is far more in the same style as the entire website, but we’ll want to gid rid of the unnecessary links from the landing page that points across to it. Good to have that done and out the way. On a different note, I found this blog post written by someone who works for Enigin the other day that I thought was really interesting. The guy goes to America for a business trip. Now I never want to live in America - I want to live in Japan! But I did like the idea of being paid to travel. Do you reckon that Enigin travel to Japan ever… if so maybe I should see if they are looking for new company members!
