As mentioned in the post “Welcome To Kids Go Wild”, this site would like to give you ideas on activities you can do to teach kids about nature. One particular fun activity is leaf pressing. How it is done is you take your precious wee little one out for a nature walk to find the most brilliant, colorful leaves they can possibly find. Have them collect different shapes, colors and textures.
Now, once they have collected enough leaves, bring them home and place the leaves between two pieces of wax paper. Place the wax paper holding the leaves in between two heavy books. Leave them there for a couple days. Once pressed, you can help your child paste the leaves on colorful construction paper, write a nature story book and add the leaves on the blank pages or create a nature scrapbook. The possibilities are endless.
A little bit of yourself in this section. There are 3 three text graphics associated to this section; Subscribe me, Advertisements and About Me. I hope either one will suit your need.
